Baking Joy Into Life’s Most Meaningful Moments
Little Banana Bakery began in 2021 as a creative refuge for Amanda during the early days of motherhood amid the pandemic. What started as a simple exploration of artistic sugar cookies soon revealed a deeper calling—one rooted in joy, balance, and meaningful work beyond the fast pace of restaurant life.
Seeking a more intentional way to create, Amanda officially launched her home-based business with joy as its guiding principle—expressed through thoughtful flavors, beautiful design, and heartfelt celebration. Cake and sugar artistry quickly became her true passion, offering both creative fulfillment and the honor of being part of life’s most meaningful moments.
Inspired by the chefs and restaurateurs who supported their communities through COVID with generosity and care, Amanda recognized baking as a way to contribute and connect.

No matter the pursuit, Amanda approaches everything with audacity and passion. Drawn early to the social energy of the hospitality world, she eventually found her true home in baking and pastry—where craft, creativity, and connection intersect. A lifelong student of her trade, she continually seeks new techniques while holding firm to the belief that proper technique and classic flavors endure long after trends fade.
Having lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years, Amanda considers it home. The region’s seasons, landscapes, and understated beauty deeply influence her work, shaping both flavor and aesthetic. These Pacific Northwest sensibilities are thoughtfully layered with her Midwest roots—growing up in eastern Montana with a love for comfort food, wide-open spaces, and respect for nature—and the bold, expressive flavors of Latin cuisine inspired by marrying into an immigrant family rich in culture and tradition. The result is a style that feels grounded yet elevated, familiar yet unexpected, and deeply personal
